Palheiro Golf is situated on Madeira Island some 10 km east of Funchal with magnificent views overlooking the town and bay and is set within the stunning 200 year old Palheiro Estate.
Opened in 1992 and situated on a coastal ridge overlooking Funchal, this Cabell Robinson designed course follows the natural valleys and ridges and hills of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Trees and shrubs from all over the world have been imported to add to the beauty of the fairways and the course presents a fair challenge to golfers of all abilities. The splendid clubhouse has magnificent views over Funchal Bay.
Santo De Serro Golf Club
Santo da Serra Golf hosts the Madeira Island Open, part of the PGA European Tour.
Opened in 1991 and featuring magnificent sea and mountain views, this Robert Trent Jones design is one of the most spectacular courses to be found anywhere in the Europe. While most of the 27 holes feature generous sweeping fairways, there are plenty of hazards to trap the unwary, including water, bunkers and the occasional ravine.
