CASTLE HARBOUR APTS 3*
The Castle Harbour apartment complex is centrally located in the tourist centre of Los Cristianos, just 800 metres from the nearest beach. In the surrounding area guests will find countless shopping and entertainment venues, in addition to links to the public transport network. The apartments are bright and appointed with all of the amenities required for a self catering holiday, including a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. During the day guests can unwind on the beach or alternatively enjoy a refreshing dip in the complex’s inviting freshwater swimming pool with sun terrace, which provides a peaceful spot to relax in the sun. There is a local charge for sun beds and umbrellas. Guests can dine in the restaurant, which serves breakfast, meals and snacks throughout the day, while the bar is a perfect venue to socialise and enjoy a few drinks. GOLF LAS AMERICAS
Golf Las Americas opened in 1998, and offers the attraction of being located in a gentle amphitheatre overlooking the sea.
The climate is ideal, whether in summer or winter, with average temperatures of 21 C and 25 C respectively and a total of 3200 hours of sunshine per year.
The varied course was designed by John Jacobs to be par 72 standard scratch with a total length of 6039 metres. Among other attractions, there are a group of lakes and water filled ravines which make a pleasant ecological impression
GOLF DEL SUR
Inaugurated in 1987 the 27 greens and fairways have provided the backdrop for various top international tournaments. In 1989 they bore witness to Jose Maria Olazabal's victory in the Open de Tenerife, as did Mark James in 1994.
In 1995 Golf del Sur hosted Shells Wonderful World of Golf between Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson.
Golf del Sur has also been the venue for 2 golf driving distance records, both set by Britain's Karl Woodward. First he set a new record of 398 yards and then a few months later he broke the legendary 400 yard barrier with a huge hit which sent the ball flying 408 yards.
In 2002, Golf del Sur hosted a new international tournament, the first Tenerife Ladies Open, pertaining to the LPGA European Evian Tour, with victory of the Spanish female player Raquel Carriedo.
COSTA ADEJE GOLF
Only 5 kilometres from Playa de las Americas Golf Costa Adeje has been created by the world renowned designer Pepe Gancedo.
Pepe has been responsible for a further 14 courses on both sides of the Atlantic and his philosophy is to hand craft each hole adapting the course to the existing terrain and paying maximum respect to the environment and local plant life.
This philosophy is clear for all to see at Costa Adeje, where the fairways follow the natural contours of the land. The course enjoys spectacular views of the Atlantic, the island of Gomera, Playa de las Americas and the mountains of Adeje.
