Welcome to Costa Calma

Costa Calma

Costa Calma (or Calm Coast) has been well named. Lying on the south east coast of Fuerteventura, this is a quiet and peaceful area without even the trace of honky tonk! On the road to Jandia and Morro Jable (the renowned broad expanses of amazing beaches), Costa Calma holidays are recommended for beach lovers and windsurfers. A true beach resort, Costa Calma marks the beginning of the whole stretch of snow white sandy beach, which is utterly pristine and washed by the Atlantic breakers. The resort was built around an original hamlet called Canada del Rio, of which there is little evidence today, but Costa Calma is spread out and has pockets of amenities.

If you enjoy surfing, swimming and walking, Costa Calma is the place for you. A holiday resort that is quiet, sleepy and laid back, nightlife in Costa Calma is directed to a few little areas of development where local restaurants and some bars are the focus. This is not a wild child by any means! The area has a green zone which is very pleasant by day and many walkers and joggers and birdwatchers use the trails. Costa Calma has a Sunday morning market which is fun and good for picking up some souvenirs.
